The importance of Partnership for success on and off the field
Valentine’s Day brought disappointment for the Sharks fans with the Cheetahs defeating The Sharks 35-29 in the first match of the Super Rugby season.
The match, hosted at Growthpoint KINGS PARK on Saturday, 14th February, encountered difficulties before the start of the game with captain Bismarck du Plessis benched due to an injury. Pat Lambie took over captaincy duties for their opening game. It was tight competition throughout the match, with both teams pushing for glory however The Cheetahs plucked the last rose with tough retaliation and determination.
Although The Sharks presented a strong fight, their loss echoes the importance of partnership to produce success, and in the spirit of Valentines Day, the fans continue to admire and support The Sharks undeterred by the first game’s results.
