The Sharks’ Currie Cup 2014 season has come to a saddening end. After taking a blow with a 50-20 defeat by the Lions on Saturday, 18 October, The Sharks have concluded their attempts at top of the log victory and winners of the 2014 Currie Cup.
However, all is not lost – although the brave boys in Black and White have lost their chance at the winning title, they have earned victory in experience and confidence. It has been a trying season for the team with the majority of their strong players focused on Springbok action, yet The Sharks have maintained their courage, positive attitude and effort to achieve success.
This is what it is all about – at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how many trophies are sitting on the shelf or how many points have been earned. If a team does not maintain the true winning spirit, success is not obtainable. KYOCERA Document Solutions South Africa understands that success starts at the core: building strength, courage and a positive attitude among each and every team member is the foundation of a successful business. Without this, the team cannot grow, and success cannot be achieved.
KYOCERA Document Solutions South Africa congratulates The Sharks on their excellent efforts in the Currie Cup 2014 season – it has been a truly motivational experience for all!

The Sharks have succeeded through to the semi-final stage of the Currie Cup season! It has been a gruelling pool-stage for The Sharks with their experience of back-to-back losses, home-game defeats and some of their best team players forfeiting their participation in the Currie Cup due to Springbok involvement; however they have beaten the odds and have a spot in the semi-finals where they will face-off against other top-of-the-log teams in an effort to earn a rank in the final match
The Sharks experienced difficulty as they faced the Western Province last Saturday, 11 October, but they adapted to their learnings from the Currie Cup season to remain fired-up and motivated to earn a 28-20 victory.
KYOCERA Document Solutions South Africa (KDZA) was not built in one day – it has taken years of both success and failure to achieve their current position in the industry. Like their boys in Black and White, KDZA believes in keeping themselves and their partners fired-up and motivated in order to achieve greatness as a team.
As the close of KDZA’s Summer Incentive is fast-approaching, it is important to adapt to these objectives – by maintaining a fired-up energy, motivated to achieve success; and to keep this fire burning after the incentive is over – to achieve success for the business, as well as oneself.
The Sharks take on The Lions in their first semi-final match on Saturday, 18 October – kick off is at 14:30!

The Sharks have done it again with a 34-17 win against The Pumas at Growthpoint Kings Park Stadium on Friday, 15 August. After tight competition in the first half, Sharks coach Brad Macleod-Henderson knew that he had to motivate his team to cut out any errors and push for a win.
“In the first half we thought we had them on the edge, but they worked very hard, they cut us down and maybe we were a bit unlucky not to get a try or two,” Macleod-Henderson commented, “We had a few good mauls; they thought we were going to use our backs all the time and we went a bit more direct. It was just a great second half and we’re pleased with the outcome. I am very happy with our win.”
The second half showed The Sharks realigning their strength and teamwork in order to dominate play and take full advantage of the opportunities that they faced on the field. By maintaining their composure and working as a team, The Sharks showed that success is always a possibility.
There is nothing stronger than the human mind – when a team bonds together with a positive mind and united determination, success is easily attainable. The KYOCERA Document Solutions‘ teamwork is based in each and every person maintaining a positive mind – believing in each other and their company as a whole, and working selflessly in order to achieve great success and remain one of South Africa’s leading document solutions companies.
