This is my second year running and my previous mentee got reunited with his family… sad but awesome. I currently meet with my kid once a week for a minimum of an hour but that has hardly ever been stuck to, sometimes I am there for 2 or 3 hours… we do fun things together like playing games, soccer or cycling. We also do school work so that he can get his marks up to scratch and we work on things that he is struggling with.

As a mentor you are more challenged and grown that what the mentee is.. it is extremely rewarding and you learn a lot.

Leaf's Own Rugby Champion!

Sam Wilson from Leaf Technologies Durban Sales Team recently traveled to Johannesburg for the Senior Interprovincial Touch Rugby Tournament.  The Ladies Team advanced to the finals where they were to take on Western Province for the fourth year running.  Western Province had won all three of the previous clashes, so the girls from KZN were determined to break the streak and take home gold.
Play was briefly called off at half time due to dangerous conditions caused by lightning and hail, with the score at 1 – 1. When play finally resumed Natal managed to hang onto the ball and score two tries while only conceding one to Western Province. The girls from the East Coast claimed Gold!
Congratulations to Sam and the rest of the team from everyone at Leaf Technologies.

Defeat difficulties and tension with a positive attitude

The Sharks were defeated 29-13 in their most recent match against the Stormers on Saturday, 7 March at DHL Newlands Stadium.

Pat Lambie got the game under way with a high and deep kick off and it hopes for a black & white win was raised, however the Stormers put up a fight that was too good, and luck was not on The Sharks’ side this time around. As Bismarck du Plessis comments, “It was a tough night for us, and although a big positive was the fact that we dominated most of the collisions, we weren’t happy with our first phase.”

t appears that The Sharks’ performance is slipping through the cracks with a lot of tension appearing on and off the field. It is important to maintain a positive attitude when facing difficult times and tension. By staying positive, the difficulties begin to appear less strenuous and focus becomes less cloudy. As a result, less effort is required to complete the task successfully, and you will feel fulfilled like a true champion.

Maintain a positive attitude in your work and you will find enjoyment, fulfilment and overall success in every task that comes your way!
